From Monday 12th November our Large Animal and Equine out of hour’s service will be split with a vet on call for each sector. When calling the Newbiggin or Dalston phone number horse owners will be able to select a new Equine option which will transfer their call to the Equine Vet on duty.
The Vet on duty will cover the Equine calls for both Newbiggin and Dalston; as before they will treat your horse either at home or at the Newbiggin Centre.
The decision was made to offer this service so that we can provide the best possible care for both horses and farm animals; ensuring that the vet responding to the call has the best clinical knowledge and skills to treat your animal. As before both the Equine and Large Animal teams will continue to work closely together, assisting each other both during the working day and out of hours when necessary at busy times.
