A flock health plan is ideally started at the beginning of your sheep year, approximately 6 to 8 weeks before tupping - this will obviously vary between flocks depending on your chosen lambing date. The plan should be a working document that evolves as your farm evolves and is never completed merely added to or amended as issues arise.
The main areas to cover are:-
- Standard operating procedures
- Assessment of flock performance using your records
- Health and preventative medicine
