My responsibilities include the running of our embryo transfer service, which is based at Hexham. We operate in Southern Scotland, Northern England and Northern Ireland. Advising on the management of high yielding dairy cows for embryo transfer has allowed me to build on my experiences gained working with the MOET herd in the early 90’s. My interest in beef cattle has lead to me establishing the Paragon Herd of Blonde D’Aquitaine cattle, and most recently starting a herd of Aberdeen Angus, which I hope to show this season. This “hobby” takes up all of my spare time especially through the summer months when I desert the practice for the show fields.
