I am a mixed
practitioner, but am mainly involved with the farm animal side of the
practice. I hold a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction (DBR), and
have been recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Specialist
in Bovine Health and Production (Reproduction) I have a a particular interest in cattle breeding and fertility, including Embryo
Transfer.
As managing partner and director, I am responsible for the
overall coordination and running of the practice. I was very involved in the aftermath of Foot and Mouth Disease,
and I act as an advisor to several groups, both locally and nationally.
More recently I have been involved with the establishment of a new initiative, named XLVets which is a nationally distributed group of veterinary practices who are working together aiming for "Excellence in Practice". I am currently managing director of XLVets.
I am
married to Sue and have 3 daughters.
