The practice has a busy equine team operating as a part of
the large animal group. There are many developing specialities and a broad spread
of experience in both the veterinary and nursing staff. We cover the
competition yards involved in thoroughbred racing, eventing and show jumping and
are equally at home with the companion donkey or child's pony. The core of
our work involves visiting the stables and conducting the investigation and
treatment at home. Our recent developments at
Townhead
Farm in Newbiggin allow us to refer in cases for more involved
investigation, treatment and aftercare. We work closely with vets in other
referral centres and universities, farriers and equine physiotherapists to
ensure the very best of treatment for all of our patients. We also have
dedicated paddocks for our in-patients to allow close monitoring during
recovery. |
