Farm Vet required
We are looking for an additional enthusiastic Farm Animal vet to join our dynamic farm team.
Based in North Cumbria, on the edge of the Lake District, we are part of a 3 centre multidisciplinary practice. You will be part of our farm animal team currently numbering 10 vets. We are a friendly, enthusiastic, sociable and supportive team always striving to meet the needs of our farmers and providing them with the best possible service is at the core of what we do. We have proactive, motivated clients who we value and work hard with to build strong working relationships. Our client base is dairy biased but we do service both beef and sheep clients and encourage vets to pursue their own specific areas of interest. We provide a high standard of service to them through proactive health planning utilising all the usual tools and software plus abdominal laparoscopic surgery, VetTech services, farmer training, an advanced breeding department in addition to providing overseas farm consultancy. CPD is strongly encouraged as are specialist interests and further qualifications all supported by certificate and diploma holders.
Out of hours is currently a 1 in 6 rota as we strive for a good work:life balance. This is mainly farm animal, with some emergency equine work.
We offer 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays and a half day off each week. We provide 24/7 employee assistance programme, company car and the usual membership fees.
TB Tester required
We are also looking for a TB Tester to join our great team. Increasing client base and caseload as well as an increased volume of TB work means we need a TB tester. TB OCQ panels and MRCVS essential. A flexible position with the opportunity to work alongside our vet and vet tech team.
